Alfa Romeo 4C

March 2014

Alfa Romeo 4C, the stylish and ultra-light weight sports car, got its introduction at the Geneva Motor show 2013.

The concept car of Alfa Romeo 4C was voted as ‘most beautiful concept car of the year’. Its oh-so Italian design is based on a car model of the sixties, Alfa Romeo 33 Stradale. The two seats supercar is affordable in its class and its production unit is limited.

Light weight has been a key objective in its design. The car is mainly built of ultra-light carbon fiber and aluminum. Even the glass is extra thin in order to reduce weight. Saint-Gobain Sekurit is the first, who introduced this lightweight glazing. The standard used to be 5mm, it is now 4.5mm and it will be 4mm in the future. The 4C is one of the first models with a 4mm Saint-Gobain Sekurit windscreen. The final weight is just 895kg, even less than a Volkswagen Up! city car. This record makes the Alfa Romeo 4C one of the lightest cars in the world. There is a plenty of power, meaning 0-100km/h acceleration in as little as 4.5 seconds, which makes the 4C comparable with the Porsche 911. The inside of the 4C is crafted with the finest materials and there is a digital screen instead of instrument dials. Overall the interior is classy with limited space.
